Aromatherapy Candles
The term Aromatherapy literally means ‘treatment using scents’ and was coined by the French chemist Rene-Maurice Gattefosse in the 1920s. It uses essential oils derived from flowers, herbs, plants, trees and spices for therapeutic purposes. Each essential oil is said to have particular properties and characteristics considered helpful for particular ailments and emotional problems.
The scent of essential oils can have particular psychological effects. The olfactory (smell) nerve transmits a message to the limbic system which is also associated with emotion and memory which can trigger our emotions. This is why some smells seem more relaxing and some make us more awake and mentally alert.
In my candles i only use essential oils mixed with the Rapeseed and Coconut wax, they are quite subtle but very effective . Sme essential oils are more dominant than others and they are the top note the more subtle smells are the middle and base notes which add to the overall blend. All my blends have been mixed by me personally and each candle is hand poured here in Cork.

This candle is made with Rapeseed and Coconut wax and contains 100% pure essential oils of Sweet Orange, Basil and Lime
Sweet Orange is a very uplifting oil and often reminds people of sunnier climates, it is good to use in the winter for a sense of wellbeing.
Basil is another uplifting oil and is great for clearing the head and has a clarifying effect on the brain.
Lime is a lovely invigorating oil and has a very pleasant aroma, it is a happy oil which is both stimulating and calming.
BEE SLEEPY
This candle is made with Rapeseed and Coconut wax and contains 100% pure essential oils of Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Vetiver.
Lavender is known for its many properties, its main one being is being used as a relaxing oil helping to induce a sense of well being and also to promote sleep.
Ylang Ylang is another relaxing and also a sensual oil, it blends very well here with the Lavender and Vetiver to bring an earthiness to the blend.
Vetiver is another relaxing and also a very grounding oil, it gives a deep sense of peace and is known as an oil of Tranquility.
BEE RELAXED
This candle is made with Rapeseed and Coconut wax and contains 100% pure essential oils of Lavender.
Lavender is known for its many properties, its main one being is being used as a relaxing oil helping to induce a sense of well being and also to promote sleep, it is quite lovely used alone in this candle for all the Lavender lovers.
BEE CALM
This candle is made with Rapeseed and Coconut wax and contains 100% pure essential oils of Lavender and Sweet Marjoram.
Lavender is known for its many properties, its main one being is being used as a relaxing oil helping to induce a sense of well being and also to promote sleep.
Sweet Marjoram is a beautiful calming oil and helps to still the mind it is very grounding and uplifting and it is a good remedy for insomnia.
